Question: Six people A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting around a circular table, facing the center. C is third from A in the right. B is third from E in the left. F is between A and E and D is third from F.

Question: Rakhi is older than Rashmi but Seema is younger than Babita. Gunjan is older than Puja but younger than Sajiya. Puja is youngest among all. Only three persons are older than Seema and Babita is younger than Rakhi. If everyone is of different ages and they are made to stand from older to younger, then who will be the third from the right?
Solution:
Rakhi > Rashmi
Babita > Seema
Sajiya > Gunjan > Puja
Therefore, Rakhi > Rashmi > Babita > Seema > Sajiya > Gunjan > Puja
Sajiya will be 3rd from right.
Single Row Sitting Pattern If position is replaced by each other and total numbers are required to find then,
Total number = (Final position after interchange + Initial position) - 1
Question: If the position of Atiksh is 18th from one end and 12th from the other end in his class. What is the total number of students in his class?
Solution:
Total number of students = (Position from one end + Position from other end) − 1
Therefore, = (18 + 12) − 1
= 30 − 1
= 29
If total numbers and postion form one end are given and position from other end is to find.
Position from other end = (Total Numbers - Position from one end) + 1
Question: Raman is at 29th place from one end in a group of 45 students. What is his position from the other end?
Solution:
Raman’s position from other end = (Total Numbers - Position from one end) + 1
Therefore, = (45 − 29) + 1
= 17th
